What Our Students Say

"This fabric store has an outstanding variety of fabrics of great quality and good prices. Staff members are always very helpful and friendly. The owner, Suzanne, and her husband are delightful and make you feel welcome every time you come (they even share cookies if they have any!) The classroom is spacious and well equipped with lots of light. I highly recommend this store."

Susan Wildernessrider

"Hip Stitch is a fun shopping experience every time I go in. I love their new location with a large classroom and many more bolts of fabric. They always have something new in projects, books, fabric or notions and their sales are irresistible. I live an hour away but it's always worth the drive to shop for my favorite modern fabrics. Suzanne is a gem!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to your most common class questions

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?

If you have one, yes! But if you'd rather use one of our classroom machines, that works too. Just let us know ahead of time to ensure we reserve one for you.

What if I need to miss a session of a multi-week class?

Please let your instructor know in advance. While we can't offer makeups for missed sessions, your instructor can provide notes and may be able to help you catch up at the beginning of the next session.

Can I bring my children to class?

Adult classes are designed for participants 16 and older. We do offer specific youth sewing classes for younger sewists. For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate children in adult classes.

What if the class I want is full?

Join the waitlist! We often add additional sessions for popular classes, and you'll be the first to know if a spot opens up.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes, we offer one-on-one instruction for those who prefer personalized attention. Contact us for rates and availability.
