At Hip Stitch, you can choose to donate your fabric, receive store credit, or get cash — whatever suits you best.

If you’re selling fabric to us, we’ll find new homes for your previously loved fabric and sewing items, either through our store or by donating them to a deserving charity. This way, your items won’t end up in a landfill, and you can feel good knowing they’ll either be sold or given to a good cause.

Many people learned to sew in school, but those programs are becoming rare. We’re here to help fill that void, and your fabric and supplies can make a big difference. Even if your fabrics no longer fit your style or the person you intended them for, don’t worry—many newcomers, especially younger ones, are eager to dive into sewing and quilting. By keeping things affordable and accessible, we’re fostering their interest and keeping the craft alive. Plus, you might even find that elusive fabric you’ve been searching for years!

Whether used by fledgling sewists for a special project, or by our charities to benefit premature infants, puppies & kittens or young women in underdeveloped countries, you’ll know that your fabric and notions will find a good home.

We support multiple charities that help NICU preemies, dogs at Animal Humane, young women in underdeveloped countries, children in the hospital, women on the streets of Albuquerque, so you know we’ll find the right fol ks to make the best use (they have differing needs) of items that don’t quite fit your style or your stash anymore.

Fabrics we can offer for resale will net you cash or store credit. If you choose cash you’ll receive up to $4.00 per yard for quality quilting fabrics. There is no upper limit depending on what your fabric is and the condition. If you bring us the Shroud of Turin … we’ll make an appropriate offer. We're not trying to make a killing; we're just trying to make a living.

You can double your spending power by electing to take store credit – we offer double the amount if you’ll be using your credits toward items at Hip Stitch. There are NO limitations on what these credits can be used for, they spend just like cash but limited to use at Hip Stitch.

To get started, fill out our form with your contact information and details about how many boxes or bags you’re bringing. Then we'll contact you with an appointment time. At the scheduled appointment, you'll drop off your fabrics and other items, and within ten working days, we’ll make you an offer for what we can use. Any fabrics we can’t sell will be donated to charities or a local thrift store unless you prefer to pick them up. Items left for pickup will be held for 5 working days before being donated. Ready to contribute?
