Instructor Bio:
A quilter who also knits, crochets, and dabbles in hand embroidery, and is an enthusiastic Project Linus Blanketeer and Halloween/Cosplay costumer, Julia is a long-time member of a group of crafty video bloggers called Talk to Me Tuesday (you can find them on Wordpress)... it's basically an online "show and tell" consisting of members who have spanned the globe over the years. They periodically participate in swaps with each other as well as ask for crafty advice and cheer each other on in their crafty endeavors, regardless of the craft or technique.
Julia says she was introduced to Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) by her long time BFF (a former professional quilt designer and founder of TTMT) and her fellow TTMTers. They often use FPP to create one-of-a-kind designs related to their favorite books, tv shows, films, and video games that they then share with other fans.
Julia loves how the technique of FPP can be used to create intricate, complicated looking designs by anyone who has at least basic machine sewing skills, and she's excited to share her favorite piecing method with you!
