Paper Piecing Club
Bring a new paper piecing project or an in-progress one that you need inspiration to finish. This is not a formal class, but is your opportunity to work on your FPP projects along side other Paper Piecers in a "sewcial" setting. If you are brand new to FPP (foundation Paper Piecing) please sign up for "It's Hip to Paper Piece", our introductory class.
NEW for 2025! - each month all attendees will receive a 5" FPP block template/pattern designed by Julia (or a Guest Designer) to either work on that day or take home for later. Some months will be "seasonal" designs, some will be traditional quilt blocks converted into FPP patterns, but all will be a surprise each month! There are up to 11 seats available so that each attendee gets their own table and Julia gets to sit and sew, too! So gather your scraps and let's paper piece some fun!
Specific supplies for this workshop are at the discretion of the student. Classroom cutting and pressing stations, design wall, and some notions available for use during class. Bring what you need for the project of your choice, or purchase them at Hip Stitch.

| Requirements: | Students should bring a machine they are familiar with and are comfortable using. If you need to use one of our machines, please request that when you sign up for the class. There will be at least two irons and ironing boards available for shared use. Specific supplies for this sewing group are at the discretion of the student. Please bring what you need for the project of your choice, though, of course, you are welcome to purchase additional supplies at Hip Stitch as needed Required/Recommended Supplies & Notions: - sewing machine - project, pattern, fabric, etc. of your choice (must include paper piecing) - sewing notions of your choice (thread, needles, etc. ) appropriate for paper piecing - small cutting mat, ruler, and rotary cutter/scissors Optional: - personal-sized iron and ironing station - Add-a-quarter ruler (optional, but highly recommended) - Add-an-eighth ruler - seam roller |

She loves how the technique of FPP can be used to create intricate, complicated looking designs by anyone who has at least basic machine quilt piecing skills, and looks forward to cheering you on and helping you finish your unfinished paper piecing projects! |
