Let's Gather: Garment Sewing Group

Let's gather and sew something to wear!  The classroom is open - bring your pattern, your fabric, your tracing paper, your sewing machine, your shears - wherever you are in the process, we'll help you along the way.  This is an open-ended, relaxed atmosphere.  A few rules, though:

If you have never sewn before, we require that you take our basics class, or have equivalent knowledge so that you are comfortable threading your machine, sewing a straight stitch, and have practiced using your machine.

Choose a pattern that fits your level:  if you are a beginner, pick a beginner (often labeled 'easy') pattern.  Not sure what to make?  Peruse our patterns - ask us for ideas - we have a lending library of patterns as well!

If you are bringing your fabric and ready to sew, prewash it before class.

We'll ask you to email us the pattern name before the class so we can familiarize ourselves with it to better help you.

Bring a snack, drop your fears about sewing garments at the door and let's have some fun!
