Make a T-Shirt Quilt

Transform your cherished t-shirts into a cozy memory quilt! In this two-part class, you'll explore design and construction in the first session, then move on to sewing your quilt top in the second. These projects make thoughtful, personal gifts or a meaningful keepsake just for you.

What to Bring – First & Second Session:

  • A collection of t-shirts you'd like to use
  • 1 yard of fusible interfacing (easy knit type to begin)
  • Rotary cutter and rulers (including a 12½" square ruler)
  • Fabric markers
  • Pencil and paper for sketching layout ideas

Additional fabric recommendations for your quilt top will be discussed in class.

What to Bring – Second Session:

  • Sewing machine with a ¼" foot
  • Straight pins
  • Basic sewing tools include scissors, a seam ripper, and more.
  • Pencil and paper for notes or design adjustments

Important: You must be comfortable using a rotary cutter to take this class.

Instructor Bio: Becky Welch has been quilting for 39 years (she started when she was pregnant with her 1st child!). Her very first quilt was a Triple Rail Fence. She loves to put her memories and sentiments into her quilts, and to fill her 'tool box' of skills so she can then pass them on to others.
