Beyond the Basics - Half Circle Skirt
Celina will be teaching this two-part class - make a lovely half-circle skirt to wear - dress up for a party or just when you want to put some twirl into your day!
You'll need:
2 yards of fabric, 1/4 yard medium weight iron on interfacing for waist band. (interfacing is included in class price) Cotton fabric recommended. Optional-pattern ease to make a pattern.

| Skill Details: | Note: This is for an advanced beginner - knowledge of your sewing machine and having sew a few projects are required before taking this class. |
| Requirements: | Sewing Machine, matching thread, measuring tape, 9'' or longer zipper, zipper sewing foot, scissors, marking pen or tailor's chalk, pins or clip. Optional - hem gauge, curved ruler, wash away basting tape. |

| Instructor Bio: | Celina has been sewing and designing for over 30 years. Her amazing mother taught her how to sew at the age of seven and Celina instantly fell in love with the craft. She studied costume design for the performing arts at the University of New Mexico and worked in theatre and film projects while in college. She was chosen as the head costume designer on a student collaborative theatre play for UNM her senior year. She also worked in wardrobe and makeup artistry for theatre for a few years. In 2017 life took her abroad where she became a sewing teacher for military families on the military base in Okinawa Japan. She also headed her own small alterations and makeup business while living abroad. She found joy in teaching others how to sew and has been teaching ever since. Celina has made it her mission to leave her legacy in the sewing community as a teacher and mentor to others seeking to enjoy the wonderful world of sewing and design. |
