American Album Block of the Month - New Mexico Land of Enchantment Block 17

New Mexico Land Of Enchantment Block 17 - The “Land of Enchantment” describes New Mexico’s scenic beauty and rich history. The nickname became the official State Nickname of New Mexico on April 8, 1999. The simple and meaningful design of the state flag features an interpretation of an ancient symbol of the sun as found on a late 19th century water jar from Zia Pueblo. This red symbol is called a “Zia” and is centered on their flag in a field of yellow. Other state symbols roadrunner and chili peppers.

Finished block size 15in. - Our love for Baltimore Album Quilts made during the 1800's was the inspiration for our American Album Blocks. Each realistic album style block is filled with flowers, birds and a little American History. Each pattern includes full size numbered pattern with detailed embroidery instructions and Pearl's Easy Applique Techniques. Join us as we travel across America block by block and state by state.
