Derse, an established modern textile artist, brings her hand-painted, hand-drawn aesthetic and a modern palette to these batiks, which are actually also produced by hand. Her geometric-derived designs have a primitive flair, and include irregular dots, windowpane checks, even a pseudo-argyle.
