Roadrunners are taking over our neighborhoods! They seem to be everywhere these days, lurking under every bush! It is the state bird of New Mexico, and we love them! They are not cute, in fact, they can be vicious. They'll swallow a whole mouse in one gulp! Some people feed them raw hamburger in their back yards and turn them into pets, we couldn't imagine New Mexico without them! They run like the wind and really avoid flying whenever they can!
