Monthly Modern Series with Sibyl Ehresmann

Join Sibyl Ehresmann for an exciting and exclusive monthly series exploring modern quilt making techniques with help from the greats of abstract art!  Each video class will kick off with a brief lecture-style introduction (complete with slideshow), to the artist whose work inspired the project we'll be creating.  Throughout the class series we will focus on what we can learn as quilters from the artists' work and life, because the artists we admire grappled with questions of color and design just like we do today!  Covering a wide array of quilting techniques, participants will be guided through progressively challenging methods of block construction from strip piecing to foundation paper piecing, to specialty shapes & improv & reverse applique.
As a bonus, there will be additional pillow-construction classes which will walk you through the process of transforming the 18" blocks we make in class into throw pillows.

Classes are filmed and released monthly in 2022; the 1st is Improv Strip Piecing: Agnes Martin, which releases in March.  Each video is to be released in consecutive months.
