Scrappy New Year!

Let’s sew together! Julia is hosting a scrappy sew day on Sunday, December 31, from 11-4pm. It's a Scrappy Pot-Luck! Bring scraps and a snack/beverage to share and we will sew away the old year before we ring in the new one! Most quilters/sewists are constantly generating scraps, and they can make some really fun and truly one of a kind projects. Plus, sewing with scraps makes our hobby feel more, well "sew-stainable"! ;) 

Unlike a class or workshop, this is the perfect chance to work on a project of your choice and sew in a relaxed, social setting in the company of others. There will be sewing, chatting, snacks, and you can have fun while making progress on your project (or not, no pressure!).

What’s included?

• Full use of the classroom and equipment including design walls, large tables, irons, scissors, etc
• Bring your own machine or use one of ours (please let us know in advance if you want to reserve one of our machines)
• Feel free to bring tea/coffee/soft drinks, snacks, etc for yourself and/or to share (they need to stay in the classroom/kitchen)
• We'll set up a table (or two) of scraps for everyone to use, so make sure to bring not only the scraps for your project, but also some to share! 

Important. Please note this is not a class and there is no instruction included. This is an opportunity to enjoy the social aspect of sewing amongst a group of other sewists. If cutting out your project is likely to take a lot of time, you may want to cut it beforehand so you can just have a wonderful day of sewing! One or more off-duty staff might also be in the group, but they'll be enjoying the rare opportunity to sew amongst everyone, too. That being said, you are, of course, welcome to ask questions amongst the group if you are stuck and we are sure Julia and everyone else would be willing to help each other. That's just how we crafty types are. :)
